FAQs

Flash tattoos are pre-drawn designs created by tattoo artists that clients can choose from to make for a quicker and simpler tattooing experience. Flash designs provide the client with ready-made options that represent exactly what they will be getting inked onto their skin, as opposed to working with an artist to create a custom design.

This weekend-long event consists of all things art and ink. About 20 tattoo artists will be offering their own 2–5-inch flash tattoo designs inspired by plants and florals, in addition to pre-booked appointments for custom designs. Visitors will have the opportunity to get inked within the picturesque setting of our subtropical conservatories, or watch the process unfold in real time.

Catch our featured celebrity artists while they tattoo custom pre-booked designs among the blooms or join them to hear about their inspiration and industry experience through scheduled artist talks. Enjoy a curated artisan market, live music performances, our beer garden, temporary ink options for all ages, and more. Stay tuned for a schedule of activities. Also, during your visit, don’t miss our Botanical Tattoo exhibit!

Botanical Tattoo is a gallery exhibit that features colorful photographs of botanically inspired tattoos and photographs of the tattooing process – from sketch to skin. Floral flash sheets designed by local tattoo artists will also be on display. In addition, visitors can learn about the botanic symbolism and history of tattooing through interpretive panels. Click here to learn more.

Flash tattoo appointments are walk-in only and are first-come, first-served. Each artist should be able to take around 10-15 clients each throughout the day.
