We’re excited to announce our partners at the Worcester Tree Initiative recently received two prestigious awards from Massachusetts nonprofits Alternatives and Mass Audubon.

Last month, the Worcester tree initiative was presented with Alternatives’ Community Beacon Award, an award for partners of Alternatives that have made a difference in the organization this past year. The award was presented at the 40th Birthday Celebration of Alternatives with more than 700 people in attendance. Alternative’s mission is to create and find places in the community where the individuals they serve can work and connect with others.

Worcester Tree Initiative spent time in 2016 with individuals within the Alternatives community, planting, training, and finding service and employment opportunities.
