SELF-GUIDED FIELD TRIPS

Explore our garden and trails while you expand your learning outside of the classroom.

New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill offers an outdoor learning experience like no other. With our wide range of gardens and miles of trails, you and your group can explore and learn many diverse topics while having fun outdoors. Self-guided field trips can be scheduled all year round to align with your own curriculum and classes.

NEW!Self-guided groups will have access to our Garden Discoveries self-guided student activity packets for grades K-2 and 3-5. These packets can be downloaded as a pdf and printed by educators for students to use as resources during your field trip. Activity packets will be provided at the time of booking.

PRICING
The fee for self-guided field trips is $9 per student (ages 4-16). One chaperone for every 5 students is admitted free of charge. Additional chaperones pay the group admission rate of $18. The Garden can accommodate a group of up to 150 people in one day. Larger groups are welcome to spread their visits across multiple days.

Guided field trips for school groups are available upon request.

RESERVATIONS
To schedule a group program, please fill out this form or email youtheducation@nebg.org. We recommend you book your program at least a month in advance. Self-guided field trips are offered between 10am and 5pm. If you are interested in using our Garden Discoveries self-guided activity books, let us know in your reservation email and we will share them with you via email.

CANCELATION POLICY
Please contact youtheducation@nebg.org or call 508.869.6111 ext. 132, as soon as possible if you would like to postpone, reschedule, or cancel your program. A full refund will be made if the cancellation is requested at least two weeks before the date of the program. Cancellations less than two weeks before the program date will forfeit the program fee (exceptions will be made if the cancelation is mutually agreed upon or due to extreme weather).
