Please note that NEBG engages instructors on a 1099 basis and does not constitute employment.

If selected for consideration, you may be asked to provide a detailed course outline, meet with a member of our Education Team, and undergo a CORI check. Your course outline should include readings, topics, required supplies, materials budget, and any planned exercises or activities.

Please note that instructors are responsible for providing their own equipment and materials. Programs may be held indoors or outdoors at the discretion of NEBG, and location details may change based on programming needs.

Opportunities are limited, and we receive more proposals than we can accommodate. Submission of this form does not guarantee acceptance or a contract position. Only selected proposals that best fit our needs will be contacted. At this time, we are not hiring instructors for yoga, tai chi, or sound bath experiences

NEBG Social Media Guidelines for Contract Instructors

At the Garden, we’re committed to fostering a welcoming, respectful, and professional environment for all. Social media can be a powerful tool to share our mission and engage with our community—but it’s important to use these platforms thoughtfully and responsibly. While we encourage interaction with NEBG’s official social media accounts, we ask instructors to remain mindful of how they engage online promoting programs.

Please take a moment to review the following guidelines so we can continue to grow our vibrant online presence together:

Protect Confidentiality
Do not post any confidential or sensitive information. Always check your surroundings before taking and sharing photos—ensure there is no confidential paperwork, private information, or sensitive content in the background.

Respect Colleagues and Visitors
Do not post photos of volunteers, participants or guests without their consent. If you plan to share images that include others, it’s best practice to ask for written permission beforehand. For any programming that includes minors, photos should not be taken or shared without prior consent through NEBG’s official photo release process.

Report Concerns
If you see something concerning or inappropriate related to NEBG on social media, notify the Marketing and Communications team immediately rather than attempting to respond directly or resolve the issue yourself. Contact marketing@nebg.org.

Be a Positive Ambassador
Whether you’re in NEBG-branded clothing or mention your employment in your bio, you represent the Garden. Please use respectful and inclusive language, and ensure your content aligns with the mission and values of our organization.

Social media offers a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our work and engage with our community. Let’s continue to use it wisely, respectfully, and in a way that uplifts the mission of New England Botanic Garden.
